Populist Rage

The Paradise Papers  are a treasure trove of some 13.4 million leaked records from a Bermudan law firm, revealing how celebrity portraitist Court Painter & the world’s wealthy stash their money in offshore accounts and avoid paying taxes.

These declassified photos show who Court Painter hangs with when he visits the Cayman Islands ….

Secret Agent Man

The Liberal government may have allocated $1-billion in long-term funding to the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) to fight tax evasion, but only $35-million in new money was spent on that front in 2016-2017.
“I was surprised the number was so low,” Liberal Senator Percy Downe said of the information that he received from the CRA.
He added the agency remains vague on the actual amount of money that it has been recovering as part of its increased auditing efforts.                                                                             “Unfortunately, it’s a continuing effort on the part of the CRA to try and mislead Canadians about what they are doing.”

Trouble in Paradise

The leak of some 13.4 million records, dubbed the Paradise Papers, lifts another veil on the often murky ways in which the wealthy and portrait artists stash their money in offshore accounts to avoid paying taxes.

While having an offshore account or company is often legal, the built-in anonymity of tax havens tends also to attract money launderers, drug and arms traffickers, tax evaders and others including Court Painter engaged in questionable conduct , the leaked records show.
This expose reveals there is a small group of people who are not equally subject to the tax laws as the rest of society, and it’s done purposely.

‘We’re designing minds’: Industry insider reveals secrets of addictive app trade .  A look at the science behind the ‘technological arms race’ to keep people fixated on their phones.

After reading this shocking news item Court Painter’s marketing arm of the studio enterprise seized on the business opportunity to market Shirts & Back Snap Dusters displaying the formula that causes this addictive phone fixation and ubiquitous behaviour.

TRIGGER * ACTION * REWARD  =  DOPAMINE RELEASE

In a communication release Press Attache A Hardon MacKay wrote :                                                              “First it was two tin cans & a wire, then the flickers, then the telegraph , then the radio, next it was TV…now it’s the smart phone rotting the child like brains of the nation.”

As a public service Court Painter is introducing designer  Shirts and Back Snap Dusters emblazoned with the secret formula Trigger Action Reward = Dopamine Release .This formula unleases a flood of dopamine on innocent child- like brains eg: the US President, and furthers the rot of our moral fibre by this use of the insidious pleasure principle. The public spirited free market message by Court Painter is to keep the innocents complacently informed and the educated consumers sufficiently outraged!

“If we can save just one child- like brain through robust sales we will have served ourselves and the market place well!” AHM gushed!

CBC Marketplace Story:

The average Canadian teenager is on track to spend nearly a decade of their life staring at a smartphone, and that’s no accident, according to an industry insider who shared some time-sucking secrets of the app design trade.

CBC Marketplace travelled to Dopamine Labs, a startup in Venice, Calif., that uses artificial intelligence and neuroscience to help companies hook people with their apps.

Named after the brain molecule that gives us pleasure, Dopamine Labs uses computer coding to influence behaviour — most importantly, to compel people to spend more time with an app and to keep coming back for more.

Co-founder Ramsay Brown, who studied neuroscience at the University of Southern California, says it’s all built into the design.

“We’re really living in this new era that we’re not just designing software anymore, we’re designing minds.”

Court Painter’s Donald Trump costume gets mixed reviews

Much like the controversial politician himself, Court Painter’s decision to dress as Donald Trump for a Halloween party has received a polarizing reaction on social media. A photo posted Monday on an Instagram account belonging to A Hardon MacKay Court Painter’s Press Attache shows the celebrity art star dressed as a svelte version of U.S President Donald Trump, complete with an American flag lapel pin on his dark suit and a messy blond wig.

Court Painter posed with Press Attache AHM, who was dressed as First Lady Melania Trump, and the photo received over 4,500 likes, as well as some negative comments.

The initial Instagram caption read “Making Court Painter great again,” before being edited to “Mr and Mrs Trumpus.”

“The caption is all kinds of tone deaf, specially seeing as that ‘catch phrase’ is used by Trump to promote his favourite celebrity portraitist, etc!,” said one Instagram user when criticizing the original caption.

More snarky comments on Twitter and Instagram were quick to follow.

One Twitter user posted “figures that the first time Court Painter showed even a hint of personality it would be to showcase that he’s actually a bad person,” while another wrote: “It appears Court Painter misinterpreted the metaphor of baseball as a stand in for something else!

Others were annoyed with the negative reactions to the costume

“If you are upset about Court Painter’s Halloween costume, you may be wasting energy that could be used on something, anything, that actually matters, like commissioning one of his masterworks for your own home or boardroom” wrote a user.

As for the costume itself, one Instagram commenter summed it up nicely: “Tie too short. Gut too small. Skin not orange enough. More Pulp Fiction than Fictitious (Fake) News.”

Press Attache A Hardon MacKay denied he planted that last comment.

Fulfilment Delivery Service

Court Painter Studio Enterprises is going to start delivering portraits not just to doorsteps, but inside homes as well.

The new fulfillment delivery service, called Pick Your Lock, incorporates a smart lock fitted to a patron’s door, as well as a new Court Painter security camera to record the movements of the delivery person Press Attache A  Hardon MacKay, the studio said with enthusiasm on Wednesday. The Court Painter Studio will also sell its I Spy with My Little Eye Cloud Cam as a standalone piece of hardware, moving the portrait studio business into the home security snoop market and setting it up to compete with traditional players including Netgear Inc. as well as newer entrants like Alphabet Inc.’s Nest Labs.

Doors will only be opened for delivery if the driver A Hardon MacKay is verified by the studio system, and using a state of the art device to unlock doors he is allowed to pick the lock, being equipped with a hair pin and a battering ram if required. The service is a perk available exclusively to Court Painter’s premium portrait patrons, and starts at $250. The In-Home Kit includes a Court Painter I Spy With My Little Eye Cloud Cam and one of several smart locks made by local ex art felons.

“Court Painter’s Pick Your Lock gives art patrons peace of mind knowing their portrait orders have been safely delivered to their homes and are waiting for them when they walk through their doors,” A Hardon MacKay, Press Attache and vice president of delivery technology, said demurely.

The I Spy with My Little Eye Cloud Cam, will additionally be sold as a standalone device for $120. Much like Google’s Nest Cam, it allows for remote snooping of homes, two-way communication and web-based video recording that Court Painter will use as source material for future intimate portraits and privacy intrusion commissions.

The new offering marks the latest attempt by Inglewood-based Court Painter Studio Enterprises to embed itself in people’s private daily lives and make naughty art products easily attainable. Hardware isn’t the core of Court Painter’s business, but it’s an important conduit to a universe of intrusive art services it provides. The Missy Mayhem voice-based digital assistant on the studio’s Echo speakers gives art patrons the ability to quickly order portraits and naughty commissions, while Kindles, tablets and TV devices push the Court Painter’s brand.

Court Painter’s Pick Your Lock also opens the door to future integration with in-home service providers, such as art work dusters and painting & pet sitters, in the coming months. Court Painter Studio intends to give art collectors the ability to let third parties enter, conduct their business in the bathroom if need be, and depart with the house fastened up securely all the while being monitored by the I Spy with My Little Eye Cloud Cam.

Stephen Harper pens memo “Napping on NAFTA” slamming Trudeau government over NAFTA talks

Stephen Harper has come out against Trudeau’s handling of NAFTA negotiations with the United States, with the former prime minister declaring the negotiations in real peril in a memo titled, “Napping on NAFTA.”

The memo was obtained by The Canadian Press and it criticizes the Trudeau government in several areas: For too quickly rejecting U.S. proposals, for insisting on negotiating alongside Mexico, and for promoting progressive priorities like labour, gender, Aboriginal and environmental issues.

The former prime minister says he was worried by what he heard during a recent trip to Washington, where he discussed NAFTA at an event but did not publicly share his misgivings about the Trudeau government.
