Get away from it all…

Want to get away from it all. Golf has a reputation for encouraging seniors to socialize, improve concentration and quality of life. Study results suggest that golf intervention improves seniors’ walking and standing ability, balance, strength and cognitive processing especially actions like paying attention and remembering.

What could go wrong!

What will they think of next…

Use a robot to tour Court Painter’s studio

It’s just a gas for people in the pandemic global village,’ says Press Attache to Court Painter, AHM

Because there’s a global village pandemic, it means you can spend an afternoon virtually strolling around Court Painter’s studio in tony Inglewood.

Court Painter is allowing paying customers with functioning credit cards to take virtual tours of his studio using a teleconferencing robot that is essentially a tablet-sized repurposed portable TV, mounted on Court Painter’s walker.

Court Painter is seen rolling his robot device around for the studio virtual tour.

“The wonderful thing is it’s a replacement for visitors that never came through the door in the first place; it has opened new horizons for people from the global village, and that’s just peachy,” the studio Press Attache blurted out to no one in particular on Zoom.

“We had someone from Constantinople, someone from Bombay, someone from New Amsterdam, someone from Fort William & Port Arthur ,someone from Rat Portage, someone from Bytown and and some wacko from Valley Junction Iowa.

Also ,a woman of stunning beauty and brittleness who lives across the alley and once petitioned to get rid of the Court Painter for littering the back alley with used wine bottles, suddenly interrupted a lovely video conversation once she discovered the teleconferencing wasn’t about getting her abstract glass sculptures made from used wine bottles, to market.”

Users control the robot from their keyboards at home and move themselves around the studio, taking a look at the art along the way.

A family of Court Painter fans gather round the computer for a virtual studio tour.

Court Painter is there to accompany and chat to the virtual visitors as well, just to make sure they are cut off should they disparage in any way the Court Painter works on view or the state of tidiness of the studio. He’s brutal and nasty and takes no prisoners once he detects criticism.Bingo…you’re unplugged Doug!

Well heeled people interested in taking a tour can go to Court Painter’s website which is easy to find once you find it. Because of the high demand, Court Painter is giving priority to people who are financially in the upper 1% and are potential patrons for commissions.

Two diehard Court Painter fans never miss the latest virtual studio tour.

Death of a Salesman…?

The Donald, in the process of selling a self deceived democratic USA down the river with multitudes of paddlers, is on that long travelled grifter road again to sell a repurposed mythical snake oil to insatiable believers!

Elect him for four more years!

Per formula, every last fuckin’ media outfit has given his unrelenting sales pitch the front page and juiced his marketing that = Uber POWER!

The contemporary American style facist play with multi platform productions has being developed , written ,acted out, & financed by American myth makers about a grifter who always loses but wins in the end!

Everyone knows better now except those who don’t!

Juul Adds Canada Ex-Health Minister Rona Ambrose to E-Cig Giant’s Board

Former Canadian Health Minister Rona Ambrose has joined Juul Labs Inc.’s board of directors, the company said on Friday, as the e-cigarette company tries to reset its relationship with global regulators.

Juul Chief Executive Officer K.C. Crosthwaite said in a statement that Ambrose’s “unique public health and regulatory experience” can help the company reposition itself. Juul says its mission is to eliminate cigarettes, though it has been blamed by some regulators and public-health advocates for hooking a new generation on nicotine. Juul says it has never marketed to minors.

It’s important to look for ways to reduce the harm caused by cigarettes, Ambrose said in the statement, as smoking remains the world’s leading cause of preventable death. “However, these new technologies will not succeed in eradicating cigarettes unless businesses and regulators work together to successfully fight the problem of underage use,” she said. “We must solve both.”

Repeated exposure over a long time to e-cigarette vapor poses substantial potential risk. Although companies state that e-cigarettes are safe, there is no scientific evidence to support this view. Long-term data showing that vaping is a “healthier alternative” than cigarette smoking does not exist.

Nite out with the boys…

Alberta pub crawl somewhere between Coronation, Pincher Creek or some other god forsaken draft soaked establishment. The girls were travelling together and were on their way to work on TV in New York so they said…likely story!

The guy you identify as Surgeon never really spoke…he just smiled, smoked, kept missing shots and kept what looked like a doctors bag close….I think we nicknamed him Kreepy Kept.

A select group of Washington DC elites, ignoring social distancing in a local bistro ; sat comfortably for Court Painter’s most recent portraits while remarking how absolutely charming was the setting.

Their idle chatter did not touch on asymptomatics or super spreader liberal abstractions thank goodness!

Public Funds Public Health…

UPDATE from May 16,2020 post

Ontario’s for-profit nursing homes have 78% more COVID-19 deaths than non-profits, report finds .The report from the science table to the Ontario Government, paints an alarming picture of for-profit nursing homes in the pandemic, particularly those owned and operated by chains .

Toronto Star January 20,2021

Public funds should be for public health, not private profits
Canada has committed more than a billion dollars to develop COVID-19 vaccines, medicines, and diagnostic tests that we all need. Presently most public funding for medical research and development (R&D) comes with no strings attached – meaning that even when public funds are used to discover or develop lifesaving medicines or vaccines,  there are no requirements to make them affordable for people who need them, including Canadians.
In fact, these publicly funded vaccines, medicines and health technologies are often sold to private companies, who get to decide who receives access to them and set the price.
The global medical R&D system that MSF and the rest of the world depends on for new and essential lifesaving medicines is currently  built around private profits rather than public health. The Canadian government must make sure that the medicines, vaccines, and other health technologies developed through the medical R&D paid for by public funds will be affordable and accessible to the patients and health systems who need them most , both here in Canada and around the world.
