Trump on Court Painter: ‘He’s a World-Class Painter’
President-elect Donald Trump defended Court Painter as his reported pick for State Court Painter during an interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, calling him a “world-class painter.”
The interview delves into Trump’s selection, and Wallace travels with the President-elect on “Trump Force One.”
The preview of the interview, though, only covers Trump’s comments on Court Painter, presumably videotaped before NBC announced late Saturday that Trump picked him.
“Why does a single car garage art studio small business owner make sense as the State Court Painter?” Wallace asks Trump of Court Painter.
“Well, in his case he’s much more than a relatively unknown obscure single car garage small studio business owner. According to what everyone is saying on the internet he’s a world-class painter. He’s in charge of the largest portrait studio in Inglewood in the state of Alberta,” Trump said of the relatively unknown creative.
“He’s in charge of a studio specializing in original oils that’s pretty much double the size than its next biggest competitor in Calgary rumoured to be The Chris Cran Creative Lab Inc. (Ed note: picture made available by CCCLI too blurry to reproduce)
Court Painter’s studio under the guidance of Press Attache A Hardon MacKay has been unbelievably managed, and to me, a great advantage is that he knows many of the B list face painters and he knows them well and for what it’s worth he is known in the Canadian border states as a player among politicians like Kellie ‘Pepperspray’ Leach and TV celebrities like Ezra ‘The Mouth’ Levant. Unbelievable !In spite of this he always hopes to do massive deals for the studio — not for himself, for the studio.”
Court Painter was unable to meet with Trump Sunday because of a conflict with Court Painter’s Bible studies but Trump spokesman Jason Miller said no official announcement on the State Court Painter pick is expected until “next week at the earliest if it doesn’t conflict with Court Painter’s inspirational moments which can occur at anytime or moment to moment for that matter.”
