The leaders of Canada, the United Kingdom and France are condemning Israel’s expansion of military operations and actions in Gaza and the West Bank, threatening in a joint statement Monday to take concrete actions, including sanctions.
“We will not stand by while the Netanyahu government pursues these egregious actions,” the statement said. “If Israel does not cease the renewed military offensive and lift its restrictions on humanitarian aid, we will take further concrete actions in response.”
The statement said the three countries have always supported Israel’s right to defend itself against terrorism but called the escalation disproportionate
At least 53,573 Palestinians have been killed and 121,688 wounded since the start of the war, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
The Israeli army said on Tuesday afternoon that it attacked 100 targets in Gaza in the preceding 24 hours, claiming they were all “terrorist” targets.
As the Israeli military and government continue to promise to “defeat” Hamas, devastating military strikes on the Palestinian territory have intensified.
Thousands of children in Gaza are at risk after a nearly three-month total Israeli blockade on the besieged enclave, which has spread famine, the United Nations relief chief warns.

With all this AI imagery proliferating every nook and cranny of cyber space, Court Painter Studio Inc. wishes to make it known that in the plus 12 years of posting : not a single image has been generated by the AI machine and never will be!
However be warned, occasional text in various styles is generated by the studio resident scribe Chatterley Gorgeous Preposterous Thunderbuns (ChatGPT) to add satirical spice to an otherwise ho hum arrangement of letters. As a public service, the following is an AI example produced after being prompted to summerize in Shakesperian prose – the state of AI today.
Verily, the entwining of imagery wrought by artificer minds into the fabric of our media is both vast and swift in its advance. Whilst it doth open wondrous paths for the forging of new creations, it likewise summoneth grave perils—of falsehood most cunning, of morals sorely tested, and of truth in visage now cloaked in doubt. As this engine of thought and imagery, born not of flesh but code, doth grow in craft and cunning, ’tis meet and necessary that both the maker and the beholder arm themselves with wit, wisdom and observational media skills, lest they be led astray upon this precarious stage of illusion and invention.

Zelenskyy to fly to Turkey to meet Erdogan, wait for Putin
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy told reporters that he would fly to Turkey on Thursday to meet the country’s president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and wait to see if Russian president Vladimir Putin decides to join them for peace talks.
He explained that because “absolutely everything in Russia” depends on Putin, the only way to secure a ceasefire and an end to the war was through direct talks with him, Reuters reported.
“If Putin does not arrive and plays games, it is the final point that he does not want to end the war,” he said, AP reported.
Meanwhile one is reminded of a Samuel Beckett play.
Waiting for Godot is a 1953 play by Irish writer and playwright Samuel Beckett in which the two main characters, Vladimir and Estragon, engage in a variety of discussions and encounters while awaiting the titular Godot, who never arrives.

In a most dazzling and unprecedented proclamation, The Great Unifier Number 47 Donald J. Trump, Monarch of Monetization and Pope of Grift, did announce a bold and braincramp transformation of the American Republic. Henceforth, declared he, the vexing divide betwixt church and state—long enshrined in the ancient parchment known as the First Amendment—shall be cast aside like a worn-out meme, to the roaring approval of the Evangelical Magamonarchy rabble.
With majestic confidence and peerless flair, the President did proclaim that the United States shall descend into a new and resplendent age as the MAGA-Monarchy & Evangetical Restoration. He, alone fit for the dual mantle, shall reign as both the American Monarch and Evangelical Pope of the New Covenant, thus unifying throne and pulpit under one gilded grift.
This sacred coronation, a pageant of unparalleled splendor, shall proceed in due time—once the grand parade route and flyover is finalized, the media coverage contracts monitized, crypocrown coins minted and the royal souvenirs ordered and priced. For lo,Number 47 DJT prepares to don the regalia drag befitting his occupation of Kingdumb & Popedumb.
Court Painter has been commissioned to paint in advance the splendour of DJT’s threads in celebration of his new role and as a testament to his unifying disposition in the face of annoying constitutional amendments.
To stoke is to poke a fire and fuel it so that it burns higher. Stoke also means “incite” —as to stoke the flames of secessionist anger.

Premier Smith making a point with PM Carney
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and Reform Party founder Preston Manning have both engaged with the topic of Alberta’s potential separation from Canada, albeit from different perspectives with varying emphases : equally fanning the flames of secessionist division and complaint.
Danielle Smith ‘attempting to manufacture a national unity crisis’ with referendum changes, First Nations say
The chiefs warned Premier Smith with a Cease & Desist- Separatist Threats letter that Alberta, as a province, was preceded by treaties that Indigenous communities signed with the Crown.
“The province has no authority to supersede or interfere with our Treaties, even indirectly by passing the buck to a ‘citizen’ referendum,” the letter said. “If you or any Canadians are not happy living on Treaty lands, they are free to apply for citizenship elsewhere.”
This map delineates the areas covered by the Numbered Treaties within Alberta:
Treaty 6 (1876): Central Alberta, encompassing the Edmonton area and extending into Saskatchewan.
Treaty 7 (1877): Southern Alberta, including Calgary and surrounding regions.
Treaty 8 (1899): Northern Alberta, covering a vast area extending into parts of British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest Territories.
These treaties were agreements between First Nations and the Crown, outlining the terms for land use, resource sharing, and coexistence. They continue to hold significance today, both legally and culturally.
Court Painter undertook a rare video commission to document a sad sob story narrated by an internationally famous and wealthy influencer (name withheld) dramatizing his particular frustration with newly minted Prime Minister Carney of the Great Dominion. Court Painter was particulary moved by the tale and is pleased to share with his followers, who love a great yarn!
