This is the part of the movie where the momentum builds.
You expect the moment. You’ve heard something is coming.
You know, it’s when someone gives you the head’s up. Make sure you’re there. It will be worth it.
Then it arrives.

Court Painter, the celebrity portraitist and gadfly gets the endorsement of newly minted UPC leader and Premier Designate Danielle Smith.
No one can mistake the message. Premier Designate Danielle doesn’t mince words.”Court Painter is the beating heart of Alberta art and the Great Dominion’s nouveau unifying conservative painting guy of the moment.”
The Premier Designate Danielle Smith love comes just a day after her coronation as UPC leader/ premier designate and Court Painter’s rather opportunistic on the heels announcement that he will undertake to work towards having one unifying conservative art practice, with him as the head practitioner, ready to lay waste the pinko socialist unionized art imposters that had taken over the ripe for capitalization Alberta art market.
Friday night this early act of political theatre came to Court Painter’s Inglewood studio.
In her short address to the sparse but enthusiastic crowd, Premier Designate Danielle wants to take “a little moment for Alberta and the Court Painter.”
Here it comes.

She says conservative art unity practice has remained elusive in Alberta “with terrible consequences.”
“That must change,”Premier Designate Danielle intones.
Now she sets up for the climax.
Premier Designate Danielle says she believes even painters of wild roses want a conservative art practice of unity.
Then the message writ large comes down the pike!
“Someone has stepped forward to bring an agenda of a conservative art practice of unity and free enterprise change to the Alberta art scene. Court Painter paints it like you grievously feel …not like it is. ”
Over the cacophony Premier Designate Danielle says ,” here is a principled, thoughtful and highly capable conservative portraitist and unifier. He paints what you feel you want, he paints it like it is what you feel you want, he leaves no grievous feeling unwanted.”
Here we go.

She asks all grievance stricken citizens to join her and work to support Court Painter in his role as the Great Dominions preeminent portraitist of pompous political personages and soon to be painter of those consumed by grievance.
Cue the standing ovation.
Naturally, Court Painter is over the moon and wants to share that feeling.
Cue the drum roll!

Is that the free enterprise cavalry we hear saddling up?
They shake hands, give hugs, pose for selfies, eat their post convention grub and marvel at Court Painter’s proof of concept drawings that depict the essence of grievance and privilege in flourishing oil washes and deep blacks made from old growth forest charcoal.
Court Painter is all smiles.
He smiles a little wider now.
After a night of delays, the vote counts came hard and fast, resulting in Danielle Smith being named the UCP’s new leader and Alberta’s next premier.

“I’m back,” Smith told the room after taking the stage. Smith said the night marked the beginning of a new chapter for Alberta.“It is time for Alberta to take its place as a senior partner in building a strong and unified Canada,” she said“No longer will Alberta ask permission from Ottawa to be prosperous and free.“We will not have our voices silenced or censored.“We will not be told what we must put in our bodies in order that we may work or travel. “Albertans, not Ottawa, will chart our own destiny on our terms, and will work with our fellow Canadians to build the most free and prosperous country on earth.”

Premier Smith is a kamikaze mission aimed at the UCP, conservatism and Alberta Only Rachel Notley can win.

“But Danielle Smith’s premiership, it seems to me, is all but certain to go down in flames as it crashes into conservatism, the United Conservative Party and perhaps even Alberta itself.
Let’s take conservatism first. Much ink has been spilt describing the flaws and unconstitutionality of Smith’s signature proposal, the Sovereignty Act. But its not just the Sovereignty Act. There is her wild buy-in to arguably anti-Semiticconspiracy theories, her anti-scientific support for health-care quackery rather than vaccinations, and her blanket denunciations of even the most critical kinds of protections of vulnerable populations should we find ourselves in another pandemic. “
Ken Boessenkool managed the Rajan Sawhney Campaign for the leadership of the United Conservative Party and is recognized as one of Canada’s leading conservative strategists.

A new report, released by West Coast Environmental Law, says the government is misleading Canadians about the extent of the debt that the federally owned Trans Mountain Corporation is accumulating as construction continues on its controversial pipeline expansion project, and calculates that the government will need to write off at least $17-billion in debt that is owed to Canadian taxpayers.
Since the federal government bought the pipeline from Kinder Morgan Canada for $4.5-billion in 2018, the estimated cost for the expansion project has gone from $7.4-billion to $12.6-billion to, most recently, $21.4-billion. The costs come as the pipeline expansion project adds a second “twinned” pipeline to the existing pipeline, which runs from Edmonton to Burnaby, B.C.
New report alleges federal government hiding true extent of Trans Mountain’s debt load https://hilltimes.com/2022/10/06/new-report-alleges-federal-government-hiding-true-extent-of-trans-mountains-debt-load/386714… via

Court Painter’s research team has uncovered lyrics of a song explaining the current American justice system while the thief of state secrets, former President 45 is allowed to free range throughout America spreading lies and undermining the tenets of US democracy. Listen carefully !
Prisencolinensinainciusol is a song composed by the Italian singer Adriano Celentano, and performed by Celentano and his wife Claudia Mori, a singer/actress-turned-record producer. It was released as a single in 1972. Both the name of the song and its lyrics are gibberish but are intended to sound like English in an American accent.
Since the song was originally released in 1972 , it has now been revealed the “gibberish” is the clearest explanation of the American justice system and it’s treatment of President 45’s formidable list of past and ongoing crimes against America. Go figure!

Court Painter rocks on!

Rick Mercer: When I was a young person in comedy, I was never in stand-up. But there was a CBC TV series called Comics! that gave comedians a chance to showcase their talents in prime time, and it led to a giant comedy boom. It had a huge impact on so many careers, so I think it’s time that that happens again. There’s never been a better time. This is a golden age of stand-up comedy. If you love comedy, there’s so much talent out there right now.
I consider stand-up an art form. I consider all of these individuals to be really hard-working, creative artists. There’s nothing purer. But it’s a completely insane occupation. Who in their right mind would walk out on stage with a microphone and a glass of water and decide to entertain either 30 people in a club or 2,000 people in a theatre? They don’t have a guitar or backup singers, they just have themselves. It’s inherently exciting.
Court Painter is a bit of a talent scout and has come up with a few Great Dominion nominees for stand up jokers. He apologizes for only including a few since the talent pool is deeper than the ocean, wider than the sky!

Court Painter was able to access murky documentation via an 18 year old hacker, of newly crowned King Charles 111 , having a royal fit about a pen that runneth over.
It is significant in contrast that his dear mother Queen Elizabeth 11, had never been documented having a fit during her entire 70 years 214 days of royal service.
It does not bode well.
