As if Canadians haven\u2019t had\u00a0enough fun watching the\u00a0flurry\u00a0of\u00a0international\u00a0media\u00a0attention\u00a0paid to\u00a0our apparently handsome\u00a0Court Painter<\/span>, he now appears to have earned\u00a0the most important stamp of approval in fashion: that of\u00a0Anna Wintour, the legendary\u00a0editor of\u00a0Vogue<\/em>\u00a0magazine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Court Painter’s<\/span>\u00a0Press Attache A Hardon Mackay\u00a0made sure that the magazine dispatched a photographer to snap the\u00a0Court Painter\u00a0<\/span>in his decrepit single car garage Inglewood studio last week. The studio was closed for several hours during\u00a0the shoot.<\/span><\/p>\n

(UPDATE: the studio says the shoot took less than an hour, but \u00a0was closed to public tours for several hours because the\u00a0Court Painter’s<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0many unpaid buxom studio assistants were holding a wildcat strike.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The studio was closed to patrons,politicians, and collectors due to the photo shoot and the wildcat thingy).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The fashion photos are expected to appear\u00a0in the January issue.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wintour\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0power in the fashion industry is legendary. It\u2019s widely believed she is the inspiration behind the new\u00a0Court Painter<\/span>fashion book and animated movie,\u00a0The Court Painter Wears Prada Short Pants\u00a0<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The U.S. fashion magazine first took notice earlier this month when it blogged\u00a0about\u00a0Canada\u2019s feminist\u00a0Court Painter.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In spite of the obvious publicity the Court Painter refused to confirm the photo shoot and didn\u2019t answer questions about whether it was American\u00a0Vogue<\/span><\/em>\u00a0or one of the international editions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the first time Cond\u00e9 Nast, the parent company of\u00a0Vogue<\/span>,<\/em>\u00a0has noticed the\u00a0Court Painter<\/span>. He was\u00a0featured in\u00a0Vanity Fair<\/span><\/em>\u00a0a year ago, well ahead of\u00a0his firing by\u00a0ex<\/span>\u00a0Prime Minister Harper on Oct. 19. That shoot also took place in his Inglewood studio, a\u00a0breathtaking Gothic\u00a0piece of crap quite near to the tracks. It\u2019s the only part of an original 4 buggy garage left\u00a0after\u00a0a fire destroyed the rest in 1916.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier this month,\u00a0New York<\/em>\u00a0Magazine<\/em><\/span>\u00a0featured\u00a0the\u00a0Court Painter<\/span>\u00a0as a Corn Husk doll.<\/span><\/p>\n
