 Mark Carney is exploring just how big of a tent the Liberal Party can build and calibrate the party’s red progressive brand colour into a middling bluish purple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the past several months, Carney’s Liberals have gained five MPs, floor crossers from other parties. That quintet includes an MP who was elected three times as a Conservative<\/strong> in Nova Scotia (Chris d’Entremont<\/a>), an MP who was elected four times as a Conservative<\/strong> in Edmonton (Matt Jeneroux<\/a>) and an MP who was elected twice as a New Democrat<\/strong> in Nunavut (Lori Idlout<\/a>).Soon they may be joined by Doly Begum<\/a>, the Liberal candidate in the Scarborough Southwest byelection, who was until recently a deputy leader of the Ontario National Democratic<\/strong> Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plus another Conservative<\/strong> floor crosser Marilyn Gladu MP for Sarnia-Lambton-Bkejwanong , not on anyone’s list of MPs most likely to cross the floor to the Liberal Party<\/p>\n\n\n\n
