Driving the news: ABC<\/strong>  pulled Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> off air “indefinitely” on Wednesday in response to the late-night host’s comments about Charlie Kirk’s assassination<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The extraordinary move came after Federal Communications Commission chair Brendan Carr<\/strong> warned ABC<\/a> that it could face fines or license revocations if it did not “operate in the public interest.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump<\/strong> celebrated Kimmel’s removal \u2014 just as he did CBS’s decision to cancel Stephen Colbert’s show<\/a> \u2014 and called for NBC to take action against remaining late-night hosts Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
