Arguably, one of the most egregious elements is contained in provisions that relate to strengthening the powers of investigation and inspection of the province\u2019s language police, known officially as the<em>&nbsp;<\/em>Office qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois de la langue fran\u00e7aise. It would allow them to enter premises other than homes or dwellings, and access any and all electronic devices and any other documents located on the premises \u2014 all subject to the whims of the individual language inspector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/allanhardingmackay.ca\/courtpainter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Court-Painter-Bill-96pxm.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19678\" width=\"1000\" height=\"710\" srcset=\"https:\/\/allanhardingmackay.ca\/courtpainter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Court-Painter-Bill-96pxm.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/allanhardingmackay.ca\/courtpainter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Court-Painter-Bill-96pxm-300x213.jpg 300w, https:\/\/allanhardingmackay.ca\/courtpainter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Court-Painter-Bill-96pxm-768x545.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 1362px) 62vw, 840px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>If this sounds like it goes directly against Section 8 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which states \u201cEveryone has the right to be secure against unreasonable search or seizure,\u201d it\u2019s because that\u2019s precisely the case.
