From\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/nova-scotia\/nova-scotia-mass-shooting-premier-federal-inquiry-1.5586508\" target=\"_blank\">Nova Scotia premier Stephen McNeil<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/nova-scotia\/rcmp-commissioner-brenda-lucki-nova-scotia-shooting-inquiry-1.5606840\" target=\"_blank\">the latest embattled RCMP commissioner<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/news\/7044575\/trio-of-canadian-senators-ns-shooting-inquiry\/\" target=\"_blank\">three Trudeau-appointed Nova Scotia senators\u00a0<\/a>to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/nova-scotia\/mass-shooting-nova-scotia-public-inquiry-1.5594485\" target=\"_blank\">anguished families of the murdered<\/a>\u00a0to, I mean sort of,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xg41p_mvPQc\" target=\"_blank\">the Prime Minister<\/a>. <strong>But so far there is no inquiry.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" src=\"https:\/\/allanhardingmackay.ca\/courtpainter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Court-Painter-Dueling-Ditherers.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/allanhardingmackay.ca\/courtpainter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Court-Painter-Dueling-Ditherers.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/allanhardingmackay.ca\/courtpainter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Court-Painter-Dueling-Ditherers-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/allanhardingmackay.ca\/courtpainter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Court-Painter-Dueling-Ditherers-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 1362px) 62vw, 840px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>What we are used to seeing from this Prime Minister is Liberal MPs on the Justice committee&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/winnipeg.citynews.ca\/2019\/08\/21\/committee-votes-down-request-to-have-ethics-commissioner-testify\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">enforcing a coverup<\/a>&nbsp;in the SNC-Lavalin affair. We are used to the ethics commissioner&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nationalpost.com\/news\/politics\/ethics-watchdog-says-he-was-denied-access-to-evidence-in-snc-lavalin-affair\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reporting that nine witnesses with material information were forbidden from testifying<\/a>&nbsp;by the Privy Council Office. We are used to this Prime Minister responding to the Nova Scotia killings by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/news\/6841959\/nova-scotia-shooting-naming-shooter-trudeau\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">trying to tell reporters what they could and couldn\u2019t report<\/a>. We are used to a Prime Minister who has&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/news\/6987857\/coronavirus-canada-parliament-voting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">replaced Question Period in the House of Commons<\/a>&nbsp;with daily briefings to reporters whose tone is deferential, who are limited to a single follow-up per question, and who don\u2019t get to speak until Trudeau has announced the latest injection of dozens of millions of dollars into the national mood. It\u2019s time for a real inquiry with real powers to provide real answers to a slaughter whose central figure\u2019s ties to the federal police force that took two days to stop him are in question.
