Crosthwaite said in a statement that Ambrose\u2019s \u201cunique public health and regulatory experience\u201d can help the company reposition itself. Juul says its mission is to eliminate cigarettes, though it has been blamed by some regulators and public-health advocates for hooking a new generation on nicotine. Juul says it has never marketed to minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s important to look for ways to reduce the harm caused by cigarettes, Ambrose said in the statement, as smoking remains the world\u2019s leading cause of preventable death. \u201cHowever, these new technologies will not succeed in eradicating cigarettes unless businesses and regulators work together to successfully fight the problem of underage use,\u201d she said. \u201cWe must solve both.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" src=\"https:\/\/allanhardingmackay.ca\/courtpainter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/rona-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12867\" srcset=\"https:\/\/allanhardingmackay.ca\/courtpainter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/rona-1.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/allanhardingmackay.ca\/courtpainter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/rona-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/allanhardingmackay.ca\/courtpainter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/rona-1-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 1362px) 62vw, 840px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Repeated exposure over a long time to e-cigarett<strong>e<\/strong> vapor poses substantial potential risk. Although companies state that e-cigarettes are safe, there is no scientific evidence to support this view.
